ThunderPlus has commissioned a new EV public charging station at an Indian Oil fuel station in Patancheru, Hyderabad. Inaugurated by local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, the facility strengthens Telangana’s EV infrastructure and supports faster adoption of electric mobility. New charging facility boosts local EV access ThunderPlus has inaugurated a new GMR EV Public Charging Station at the GMR Filling Station in Patancheru as part of its franchise-led expansion. The facility was formally opened by Patancheru MLA Shri Gudem Mahipal Reddy, marking another step towards improving EV charging access in the region. The public charging station is designed to serve a wide range of electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers. It features a 60 kW DC fast charger with two charging guns, a 7.4 kW AC charger with one gun, and two 3.3 kW chargers. This setup allows multiple vehicles to charge at the same time, offering speed and convenience to EV users. Speaking at the event, the MLA highlighted that electric mobility is the future of transport, especially in fast-growing areas like Patancheru. He noted the growing EV adoption in the region and the active role of Central and State Governments in supporting EV usage through policies and incentives. Franchise model supports clean mobility and jobs Addressing the gathering, Rajeev YSR, ED and CEO of ThunderPlus, said, “The inauguration of the GMR EV Public Charging Station marks another important milestone in ThunderPlus’ franchise-led growth journey.
