There are moments in leadership that stay with you — not because they were planned, but because they were real.

Yesterday was one of those moments.

We often meet our last-mile employees 👷‍♂️,
But how often do we meet our last-mile customers — the very people our work is meant to serve?

A Quiet Visit That Became a Powerful Lesson

I stopped by one of our ThunderPlus charging stations in Hyderabad for a quiet review.
No team, no cameras — just me observing the progress as we expand toward a 1MW capacity hub at Hitec City.

A few EVs were charging.
I walked around, made mental notes, evaluated the flow… it was a typical field-check moment.

I was about to get into my car when someone called out:

“Sir… are you the CEO of ThunderPlus?” 🤔
I paused. Then smiled and said, “Yes.”

What followed was 15 minutes of pure, unfiltered customer wisdom.

A Masterclass in Customer Feedback

This gentleman — an everyday EV user — gave me insights that were sharp, practical, and honest.

He told me:

✔ How the station could be improved
✔ Which future locations would help users the most
✔ What challenges EV users face every single day

Here’s the fascinating part:

Every point he shared matched exactly with the expansion strategy we had already mapped out internally.
It felt like validation directly from the field — from the people who matter the most.

A Compliment That Hit Me Hard

Before leaving, we took a photo together.
Curious, I asked him:

“How did you know who I was?”

His answer genuinely moved me:

“We see you often on YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp forwards.
Thank you for your educational videos — I show them to my children and tell them to study well and become like you.”
❤️

I carried that sentence with me the rest of the day.

Leadership Isn’t About the Corner Office — It’s About Connection

As I drove away, I felt an immense sense of gratitude.
Not because someone recognized me — but because it reminded me of something deeper:

🌟 Visibility matters.
🌟 Approachability matters.
🌟 Inspiration matters.

We don’t always know who is listening, learning, or looking up to us.

If you’re building something — a company, a team, a movement — here’s a message for you:

Step out into the field.

Meet your customers.
Listen to them.
They’ll teach you more than any meeting ever will.

Real leadership happens outside the boardroom.
