Rajeev YSR – My Journey in Building India’s Sustainable Mobility Future

Entrepreneur | Public Speaker | CEO, ThunderPlus | CMO, ETO Motors | Founder, EV Master Class & CXO Club

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to India’s clean mobility revolution—an exciting journey that continues to shape me every single day. As a TEDx speaker, I’ve always believed that ideas gain power when shared, especially when they inspire the next generation of innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to build a cleaner and more equitable future.

My academic foundation has played a major role in this path. After completing my B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT Madras, I went on to pursue an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. This combination of technical depth and strategic thinking has helped me bridge two worlds—engineering and business—to build sustainable, scalable solutions.

Professionally, my career has taken me through some of India’s most respected mobility and logistics organizations, including Bosch, Mahindra & Mahindra, Gati Logistics, TVS Motors, and ETO Motors. I also had the opportunity to serve the Government of Andhra Pradesh as the Head of Investments & Promotion. These experiences gave me a 360° view of the EV value chain—from operations and sales to product development, P&L ownership, and policy design.

Today, I lead ThunderPlus, a vertically integrated EV charging solutions company that designs, manufactures, deploys, and operates a wide portfolio of AC and DC chargers. We’ve built a strong national presence and collaborated with leading OEMs, government bodies, and fleet operators. I also serve as the CEO of Trinity Cleantech and the Group Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer at ETO Group, roles that allow me to contribute more broadly to India’s electric mobility ecosystem.

One of the proudest recognitions in my journey was being named among India’s “40 Under 40” leaders. I’ve also had the opportunity to work closely on EV policy frameworks with NITI Aayog, Rocky Mountain Institute, and various state governments. My advisory work with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, particularly in shaping the state’s EV policies and enabling global investments, has been especially fulfilling.

Beyond leadership roles, I’m passionate about mentoring and enabling the broader ecosystem. Through platforms like T-Hub, MeitY, and TiE Global, I work with startups building solutions for India’s growing cleantech and mobility sectors—because real change happens when we support the innovators of tomorrow.

As I look ahead, my mission remains clear: to help accelerate India’s transition to sustainable mobility with solutions that are scalable, future-ready, and rooted in impact. The EV revolution is just beginning, and I’m grateful to play a small part in shaping the road ahead.
